Tax returns, done properly.
Individual, sole trader, company, trust and partnership returns prepared by registered tax agents in Brisbane — every deduction claimed, every claim substantiated.
How do tax returns work in Brisbane?
Australian tax returns cover the year to 30 June. If you lodge yourself the deadline is 31 October; engaging a registered tax agent before that date extends it to as late as 15 May the following year. We prepare most individual returns within 48 hours of receiving documents, and the ATO issues refunds around 10–14 business days after electronic lodgement. Individual returns start at $150 and the fee is deductible in the following year.
- Individual returns from $150, quoted upfront
- Prepared in 48 hours, lodged electronically
- Extended 15 May deadline via registered agent
- Late and unlodged years brought up to date

Why us
Why Brisbane clients choose us for tax returns.
Every legitimate deduction
We work through a trade-specific deduction checklist rather than asking "anything else?" — most missed refunds are simply unasked questions.
Substantiated, review-proof
Log books, home-office hours, depreciation schedules and receipts are documented at preparation time, so an ATO review years later is a non-event.
48-hour preparation
Documents in, draft out within two business days, with a plain-English summary of what changed from last year and why.
The same accountant
Continuity means your carried-forward losses, depreciation schedules and CGT cost bases are already known — not rediscovered annually.

FAQ
Tax Returns — questions we're asked most.
What documents do I need for my tax return in Brisbane?
Income: PAYG statements (usually prefilled), bank interest, dividends, managed fund distributions, rental statements, and disposal records for shares, property or crypto. Deductions: receipts where total work expenses exceed $300, a vehicle log book if claiming car expenses, home-office hours, self-education invoices, and income protection premium notices. Also your private health statement and any ATO correspondence. We issue a tailored checklist so you're not guessing.
When is the tax return deadline in Australia?
31 October if you lodge yourself. If you engage a registered tax agent before 31 October, your due date is deferred under the agent lodgement program — often to 15 May the following year, and 31 March for some larger entities. Note that the extension only applies while your previous returns are lodged and up to date.
How much does a tax return cost?
From $150 for a salary return with standard deductions; $250–$450 with rental property or investment disposals; from $350 for sole traders; from $900 for companies, trusts and partnerships. Fixed and quoted in writing before work starts. Agent fees are deductible in the following year's return.
Can I claim working from home?
Yes, under one of two methods. The fixed rate (70 cents per hour) covers electricity, gas, internet, phone and stationery, and requires a record of actual hours worked from home for the whole year — an estimate is not accepted. The actual cost method claims the work-related portion of each expense with receipts and apportionment, and usually produces a larger claim for people with a dedicated work space. We calculate both and use whichever is higher and defensible.
I haven't lodged for several years — what happens?
You bring them up to date, ideally voluntarily. We reconstruct each year from ATO prefill data and your records, lodge in sequence, and where there's a reasonable explanation apply for remission of failure-to-lodge penalties. If there's tax owing we negotiate a payment arrangement. Coming forward first almost always costs less than waiting for ATO contact.
Will using an agent increase my chance of an audit?
No. Agent-lodged returns are, if anything, less likely to trigger review because they're benchmarked against ATO deduction ranges before lodgement. What triggers attention is claims that are unusual for your occupation and income — which is exactly what a good agent flags and substantiates in advance.
Do you handle amendments if something was missed?
Yes. Individuals generally have two years from the notice of assessment to amend (four for some business taxpayers). If you've found a missed deduction, or a previous agent made an error, we can review prior returns and lodge amendments.
