Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of this website and outline the basis on which we provide services. Specific engagements are governed by a separate written engagement letter, which prevails over these terms where they conflict.

Use of this website
Content on this site is provided for general information. You may read, print and share it for personal or internal business use. You may not reproduce it commercially, present it as your own, or use it to train commercial models without our written permission.
No advice relationship
Reading this website does not create a client relationship, and nothing here is advice about your circumstances. Tax outcomes depend heavily on individual facts. A client relationship begins only when we issue and you accept a written engagement letter.
Engagement, fees and scope
Each engagement is defined by its engagement letter, including scope, fee and responsibilities. Indicative fees on this site are estimates for typical work, not offers. Fees are fixed for the agreed scope; changes in scope are requoted before additional work proceeds. Invoices are payable on the terms stated in the engagement letter, and we may pause work on overdue accounts.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping records the law requires you to keep, and for reviewing and approving returns and statements before lodgement. We may rely on information you provide without independent verification unless the engagement says otherwise. Under the taxpayer's safe harbour provisions, protection from certain penalties depends on you providing us with all relevant information.
Our obligations
We are registered with the Tax Practitioners Board and bound by the Code of Professional Conduct, and our accountants are bound by their professional body's requirements. We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required. We will act in your interests within the law, and will tell you plainly where a position we're asked to take isn't supportable.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim connected with our services is limited to the fees paid for the relevant engagement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Liability may also be limited by a scheme approved under professional standards legislation.
Third-party links and tools
Links to third-party sites and references to software are provided for convenience. We don't control those services and aren't responsible for their content, availability or terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
Changes
We may update these terms; the version published here at the time you use the site applies. Material changes affecting an active engagement will be communicated directly.
