Our team
The people who do the work.
Every return is prepared and reviewed by a CPA-qualified accountant registered with the Tax Practitioners Board. You'll deal with the same person each year — that continuity is the point.
Who will handle my file?
You are assigned a lead accountant at your first consultation and keep them year to year. Individual and small-business returns are prepared by CPA-qualified staff and independently reviewed before lodgement. SMSF work is handled by our superannuation specialist and audited by an external ASIC-approved SMSF auditor, as the law requires.
- CPA Australia members
- TPB-registered Tax Agents & BAS Agents
- Independent second review before lodgement
- External SMSF audit for every fund

Placeholder cards. Once you provide names, roles, qualifications, registration numbers and photos, each profile becomes a fully marked-up Person entity linked to the practice — which is what search engines and AI assistants use to assess author authority.
Qualifications, and why they matter
CPA Australia membership requires an accredited degree, three years of supervised practical experience, the CPA Program, and ongoing professional development every year.
TPB registration is what legally permits a person to charge a fee for preparing and lodging your return. Registered agents carry professional indemnity insurance and are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct. Anyone can check an agent on the public register — do it before you hand over your records.
Registered BAS Agent status covers GST, PAYG withholding and Single Touch Payroll obligations. Xero Certified Advisor status means we can set up, migrate and fix the file, not just read it.
How the work is checked
Every return passes two sets of eyes.
Most errors we find in incoming clients' prior-year returns are not judgement calls — they're things nobody checked twice.
Prepared by a qualified accountant
Your lead accountant prepares the return or statements, working from the checklist built for your situation rather than a generic template.
Reviewed independently
A second CPA reviews the file before lodgement — figures against source documents, deductions against occupation and industry norms, and carry-forward items against last year.
Explained before it's lodged
You see the draft and the reasoning. If a number surprises you, that gets resolved before anything goes to the ATO, not after an assessment arrives.
Externally audited where required
SMSF files go to an independent ASIC-approved auditor, as the law requires. We prepare the audit file; we never audit our own work.
Continuity
Why you keep the same accountant.
Tax has a long memory. Carried-forward capital losses, depreciation schedules, CGT cost bases, the reason a trust distribution was resolved a particular way three years ago — all of it matters, and none of it is obvious to someone reading your file for the first time.
So we assign a lead accountant at your first consultation and you keep them. When they're on leave, the reviewing CPA already knows the file. You will never be asked to re-explain your own history to a new person each July.
What you can expect from your accountant
- A reply within one business day, every time
- Plain English — if you don't understand the answer, we haven't finished
- A straight no when something isn't claimable, with the reason
- A call before 30 June, not a bill after it
Credentials, and how to check them
CPA Australia membership requires an accredited degree, three years of supervised experience, the CPA Program and ongoing professional development every year.
TPB registration is what legally allows a person to charge a fee to prepare and lodge your return. Registered agents carry professional indemnity insurance and are bound by the Code of Professional Conduct.
You can verify any Australian agent yourself on the Tax Practitioners Board public register before handing over your records — we'd encourage it, for us or anyone else you're considering.
